Mildred Elizabeth Sanders, a professor of government at Cornell University, has published articles on American political development, economic regulation, social movements and presidential politics. She is the author of several scholarly articles and books in these fields, including “Roots of Reform: Farmers, Workers, and the American State, 1877 – 1917” (University of Chicago Press).
