Dr. Syed Ali Kazim is presently working as an Associate Professor at the Centre of Advanced Study, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University, India. He has around twenty years’ research and teaching experiences at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and Aligarh Muslim University, India. In addition he has being a Research Officer at the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund associated with the compilation, annotation and editing of the multi volume “Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru” series. Apart from these fields, his recent interest has also been the Medieval West and Central Asia with special reference to the religio-political and mystico-political currents/movements having emerged in these areas.
