If the truth about 9/11 were ever officially acknowledged, the American people would learn, with absolute certainty, that their leaders—the leading politicians, military and intelligence leaders, academicians, journalists, NIST scientists and engineers, among others—were at least passively complicit in the worst mass murder in American history and its cover-up. They would learn that the then Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney, played a key role in those mass murders, as did the Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld. They would learn that Israel and its organized crime operatives, including hands-on operatives like Israeli military intelligence agent Jeffrey Epstein, as well as strategists like the neocons, have mounted a hostile takeover of the USA, and succeeded. They would learn that their nation murdered millions of people based on lies. They would learn that the leaders of the United States of America hold the classical virtues of truth and justice in utter contempt. In short, they would be forced to confront the complete moral bankruptcy of their entire leadership class. The result would be a revolution and/or societal implosion.
Most Americans with respectable positions and comfortable lives do not want to risk that kind of social instability. They value their own personal comfort more than they value truth and justice. So essentially the entire power structure, from the politicians to the judiciary to the military, to the knowledge class, has chosen to avert its collective gaze from the truth about September 11, 2001. What they don’t seem to understand is that by squandering credibility in the eyes of the broader public, they have set the stage for an even worse social collapse than would have happened had they been courageous enough to risk facing the truth and taking the consequences.
Clearly 9/11 was a terrorist attack. Those who orchestrated the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center murdered almost 3,000 civilians. The definition of terrorism is, “targeting civilians for political purposes.” So the 9/11 mass murderers were obviously terrorists. The question is, which terrorists? And the answer is: the world’s worst terrorists, namely, hardliners in the US and Israeli governments. The US government has murdered about 60 million civilians since World War II, as documented by Vltchek and Chomsky’s On Western Terrorism. And Israel is fundamentally a terrorist state. Its very existence is predicated on the ongoing destruction of the civilian population of Palestine. And it has pioneered all the techniques of terrorism, as explained in Thomas Suarez’s State of Terror: How Terrorism Created Modern Israel.
I think the neoconservatives played a central role. They were the intellectual authors of the crime. Indeed, 9/11 is, from the Straussian neoconservative perspective, the most perfectly laudatory act imaginable. If 9/11 hadn’t existed, the neoconservatives would have had to invent it. And in fact it wouldn’t have existed without them; there have been no successful hijackings in the USA for almost four decades. The odds of a successful hijacking in 2001 America were nearly zero. The odds of non-professional-pilots hitting their targets at almost 600 miles per hour at sea level were likewise nearly zero. And the odds of virtually the entire World Trade Center imploding into sub-100-micron dust are exactly zero. So, since it couldn’t have happened, the neocons did invent it. What is amazing is that anyone believed that such an obviously impossible event had actually happened.
Some elements of the CIA also appear to have been complicit in 9/11. Specifically, elements of the CIA brought 15 of the 19 patsies from Saudi Arabia to the USA. Those 15 young men were all CIA assets, and they came to the US on CIA “snitch visas”—special visas used to reward CIA assets for their service. The Israeli Mossad, which like parts of the CIA has a close relationship with global organized crime, also babysat the 19 young men who would later be falsely blamed for 9/11. After 9/11, Bush and the CIA threw a celebratory party at CIA headquarters, as detailed in T.H. Meyer’s Reality, Truth, and Evil; shortly thereafter a high-level CIA official bragged that when the dust clears, 9/11 would be seen not as an intelligence failure, but as an intelligence success.
The neocons understood that the American public only supports war when it feels itself under massive attack. Their model was Pearl Harbor. Prior to December 7, 1941, roughly 80% of the American public opposed entry into World War II. On December 8, 1941, 90% supported entering the war. The biggest shift in public opinion ever recorded had happened literally overnight.
The neocons faced a similarly difficult public relations challenge in 2001. They wanted a series of Clean Break wars to remake the Middle East in service to Israel. In particular, they wanted to occupy Iraq and Afghanistan in order to surround and invade or cripple Iran, which they viewed as the biggest threat to Israel. Philip Zelikow, a suspected scriptwriter of the 9/11 false flag operation, once admitted that Israel’s interest, not America’s, was the real issue: “Why would Iraq attack America or use nuclear weapons against us? I’ll tell you what the real threat [is] and actually has been since 1990—it’s the threat against Israel. And this is the threat that dares not speak its name because…the American government doesn’t want to lean too hard on it rhetorically because it’s not a popular sell.”
The only way to make the Clean Break wars a “popular sell” was to stage a New Pearl Harbor, traumatizing the American people into seeing Israel’s enemies as their own enemies. 9/11 was that New Pearl Harbor.
