Alternative Narratives in the Global Economic Restructure

The US withdrawal from Afghanistan leaves behind tens of millions of dollars’ worth of military equipment, including fighter jets. That is a first point. They certainly knew they were leaving months and months before announcing they would end the occupation. The conclusion here is that the US has cut a deal of some sort with Taliban leadership.  This was inevitable. Everyone saw this coming.  Ten years from now the Taliban will be only another client state of the US.

The second point is that the US continues to monitor the air space over Afghanistan. They attack the country with drones. This is twenty years now. Twenty years occupation proceeded by decades more interference in the country. The US, it must be understood, has interfered in elections, has fomented coups and has assassinated leaders of sovereign countries for eighty years. It is a brutal Imperialist nation.

Therefore, discussions about details or deals (like the JCPOA) or whatever other diplomatic decision is taking place all feels a bit absurd at this point. It just doesn’t matter. The US needs no reason (they have reasons for what they do, but they don’t feel they have to share them). The US via the CIA (usually) has carried out coups in Chile, El Salvador, Congo, Indonesia, Haiti, Chad, Panama, Argentina…I mean the list goes on. This is not new. I think people have to really stop pretending any kind of democracy is taking place when the US is involved.

The final point is that there is a global economic restructuring going on and everything needs to evaluate in light of this. This is the first time global NGOs and institutions like the WEF and WHO are shaping policy. The US is directly involved in this and they use the pandemic as cover. The US has been terrified of the power of the yen, and worried about independent nations like Iran. They want to shift to further global surveillance, digital tracking, a cashless society run by a central bank. The US will continue to automate and privatize their war machine. This all favors US hegemony and western capital.

Part of the animus directed at Iran is the power they hold symbolically. But we are seeing great subtle narrative adjustments taking place. Even small socialist nations like Cuba or Venezuela are caught in the matrix of western capital and supply chains and trade et al. They have to participate in this vaccine production; they have to follow certain dictates from the World Bank. Otherwise they find themselves like the DPRK. China, believe me; China has communication all the time with the US.

Globally, this is the greatest class divide perhaps in history. And it’s all very murky. It’s planned that way. The US economy has been on life support since 2008.  So when you see ISIS and other officially labeled terrorist fighters doing things that are not clear in terms of motivation, it’s because they are on the US payroll, too. Nearly everyone is. It’s a very disruptive time. And the US, I expect, will get even more brutal as their precarious economic situation worsens.
